Appointments:
Our dog grooming services are available by appointment, five days a week.We can sometimes accommodate same day appointments.
We start your first visit with a personal consultation to discuss your preferences and your pet’s grooming history..
The grooming session is finished with a spray of cologne, application of bow and a treat.
Please allow at least three hours for a full coat grooming. If you need your pet at a particular time, please let me know. Bath and dry only, short hair small dog will take 1 hour..
If your dog has special shampoo needs, we can accommodate this, except for prescription medicated shampoos, which you must provide.
We try to make your pets stay with me a positive, enjoyable experience and try to get them back to you within a few hours.
Nervous Pets:
Our dog grooming services also include catering for nervous pets, puppies and older dogs. Some pets are not comfortable with being groomed. They may be overly anxious or difficult to handle. If we feel that we are unable to groom your pet, we will not subject them to a grooming session. We do not believe it is fair to try and groom a dog that is distressed. On occasion we suggest that your dog may do better if you take him to your vet and have him sedated before the grooming session.
Nervous pets may have been mistreated or handled roughly in the past and it takes time to gain their confidence, to show them that nothing bad will happen to them. Gentle handling over a number of visits, will usually win them over, and they then accept and enjoy the grooming procedure.

It is common for our clients to say ” I should have booked him in last month, before his coat became so matted. It is always in those last few weeks, that you leave it too long to re-book, that your pets coat becomes impossible to groom out and results in the dog’s coat being shaved off. Mats and tangles pull at the dogs’ skin and can be painful. The extra weight of the matting, especially on their ears, makes your dog very uncomfortable. Mats and tangles can hide skin conditions and fleas. Regularly booking a dog grooming service will ensure your pet stays in top condition.
